PointFive OS
PointFive's cloud and AI efficiency platform. It detects waste across cloud, Kubernetes, data and AI services, explains the cause, and helps teams fix it with automation under human approval.

PointFive finds waste in cloud, data and AI infrastructure and turns it into fixes engineers can apply. TOM SHAW is an authorised PointFive partner that supplies, implements, integrates and supports PointFive across Australia.

Cloud and AI cost efficiency (FinOps)
PointFive finds waste in cloud, data and AI infrastructure, such as oversized, idle or poorly configured resources, traces it to its cause and turns it into specific fixes that engineering teams can review and apply. It also offers TokenShift, which governs how AI coding agents are used on staff workstations, including which models and tools are allowed and what data leaves the device.
More about the platform on the PointFive website.

The analysis engine inside PointFive OS that looks beyond basic rightsizing to find inefficiencies in how resources are configured and used.
Runs on employee workstations to give visibility of AI coding agent use, coach users, and enforce policy and budgets, including allowing or blocking models, MCP servers and tools.
PointFive identifies idle, oversized and misconfigured resources across major clouds and gives engineers specific, prioritised changes to make.
Findings are sent to the teams that own the resources through tools such as Jira, ServiceNow and Slack, and changes are applied only with approval.
PointFive extends cost analysis to data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks and to AI services, where usage-based costs can grow quickly.
TokenShift lets administrators set which models, MCP servers and tools AI coding agents may use, control what data leaves the workstation, and manage budgets.
From licensing to long-term support, one Australian partner looks after your PointFive deployment.

We plan and deploy PointFive in your environment, configured for your risks rather than left on defaults.
We connect PointFive with the rest of your security stack.
After go-live we support PointFive: tuning, upgrades, health checks and help when you need it.
PointFive is a cloud and AI efficiency (FinOps) platform. It finds waste across cloud, Kubernetes, data and AI infrastructure, such as oversized, idle or poorly configured resources, and turns it into specific remediation steps for engineering teams.
PointFive's main platform is focused on cost and efficiency rather than threat protection. Its TokenShift product adds governance for AI coding agents, including policy on models and tools and control of what data leaves the workstation.
PointFive lists support for AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud, managed Kubernetes services, and data platforms including Snowflake and Databricks.
PointFive OS is PointFive's FinOps platform for cloud, data and AI. It includes Chat, a conversational way to question the organisation's data, Coworkers, which carry out ongoing investigation, reporting and remediation work the organisation defines, and Apps, custom applications built from a description.
No agents are needed for discovery. PointFive connects with read-only access, such as a read-only IAM role on AWS or a read-only service principal on Azure, and deploys nothing into Kubernetes clusters. Write access is needed only for changes, and the customer has to authorise it.
PointFive works from billing data, resource configurations and utilisation metrics. It says it analyses Snowflake without accessing query text or data, and Databricks without accessing notebooks or data.
Engineers can review a suggested fix in their own IDE and deploy it through their usual workflow, or PointFive can apply it automatically. With automatic remediation, each customer chooses the approval: per change, once for a trusted playbook, or none.
TokenShift is a PointFive product that runs on employee workstations to show, coach and control how AI coding agents are used, alongside any existing gateway. It supports agents including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot CLI, rolls out through Jamf, Intune or JumpCloud, and processes data on the device.
